Festival in Asuke

Aren't festivals always about the food??? Today, my coworkers and I went about an hour out of town to enjoy the Asuke Matsuri. I'll show pictures of the beautiful scenery in the next post.

Here my friends are enjoying "goheimochi." It's basically mashed rice on a stick smeared in a sauce. This is a specialty of the area and people just love it...me, not so much!

Sparrow on a stick anyone? It's only $5.84 for one!

This was the best Chinese Ramen I have ever had! They made the noodles in this big pot.

YUMMY!!!!!

Yep, festivals are all about food :-) I'm glad this is a universal truth. That noodle pot is huge! Mike would love to try that ramen, for sure!

It's always "all about the food"! I'm not so sure about the sparrow on a stick, but the rest is making my mouth water.
